Just wanted to make a quick post to celebrate. I posted my first video 2 months and 10 days ago, on 2/5/20, and today, about 10 minutes ago, I just hit 100 subscribers.
Since that first video, people have watched my videos 9,724 times, for a total of 409 hours. I have 19 videos as of today, with my 20th planned for this week.
My top video is “Getting started with SXOS”, which has been watched 3,607 times. My most recent video, “What’s new in Switch Firmware 10.0.0?” has been watched 680 times in the past 1 day and 17 hours, for a total of 22.4 hours.
Through dozens of comments, and some great people joining me on Discord, I’ve helped people hack their Switches, install homebrew, make system and save game backups, and make their Amiibo a lot more portable.
I can’t begin to express how surprised I am at these numbers. I expected to toil in obscurity, and for this to be nothing but a hobby, putting up videos that no one would watch. If that had been it, I would still have continued, because I’m doing this as much for me as for anyone else. I set out to learn something, and I’m learning more every day.
I’ve got some plans for the website and channel that I’m excited to begin work on, and I’ve got many more video ideas I plan on making. Thanks so much to all of you for your time, comments, and constructive feedback. This wouldn’t be nearly as fun or rewarding without you. Here’s to the next hundred and beyond!
